Welcome To Our New Blog!

Family Fraternity of Roanoke, Virginia

Family Fraternity of Roanoke, Virginia

Greetings From The Governor

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of LOOM, WOTM, and the Board of Officers, both current and past, which I have had the distinct privilege of being able to serve as your Governor for the past 18 months. I look forward to serving one more term.

With the new Moose year, which started May 1st, 2009, we at Roanoke Moose Lodge have high expectations for 2009-2010. So much has been accomplished this past year, yet there remains a lot to be done. Our Friday and Saturday nights are improving every week. Our smoke eaters in the Social Quarters are doing a great job removing the smoke for those members who do not smoke.

Willie Wines is doing a great job providing weekend entertainment for all. Members that have not visited our Lodge recently, need to come and see how things have changed. Check your newsletter calendar for all our upcoming events.

With summer upon us the pool will become a welcome oasis to many. This year our Pool Manager will be Jimmy Hicks, so stop by and get to know Jimmy. Our THANKS to Vickie and Keith Garman for their work and upkeep of the pool over the last seven years. JOB WELL DONE FOLKS, THANKS AGAIN!

Attention All Members Of The Fellowship Committee:

Meeting dates have been changed from the 1st Sunday of every other month to the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6PM. With this change, both the Fellowship and Legion meetings will be held on the same night. Legion social starts at 6:30PM with a meal and meeting to follow. Please try and attend.
